Frequently Asked Questions

How fast can you get someone out when the heat goes out?+

Often same day, especially if you call in the morning. During a cold snap the schedule fills up fast, so the sooner you call the better. Platinum members get 24-hour priority response.

Should I repair or replace my furnace or boiler?+

If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we'll say so. Our job is to earn your trust, not just your business today. It comes down to the age of the system, what failed, and what the repair costs against a replacement. If your system has years left, we'll fix it and tell you so.

Do you work on oil systems as well as gas?+

Yes. Gas furnaces and boilers, oil burners, and heat pumps. On oil systems most no-heat calls come back to the filter, strainer, nozzle, or electrodes, and those are things we carry on the truck.

My heat smells like something is burning. Is that a problem?+

A dusty smell the first time the heat runs for the season is normal and usually clears within an hour. A smell that keeps up, or anything that smells like burning plastic or electrical, means shut the system down and call us. If you smell gas or your carbon monoxide alarm goes off, get everyone outside first, call 911 immediately and your gas utility. Call us only after you are out of the house and 911 has been contacted.

Do you offer emergency service?+

Call or text us any time for an emergency. If your heat goes down, don't wait until Monday to reach out.
